BATEKOO is a Brazilian cultural collective and movement that originated in Salvador, Bahia, in 2014. It is renowned for organizing vibrant parties that blend genres like hip-hop, funk carioca, R&B, trap, kuduro and other Afro-diasporic rhytms. These events serve as a safe space for marginalized groups, particularly Black and LGBTQIA+ youth, to express themselves freely and build community. These are the visuals created for BATEKOO’s trio-elétrico (a large sound truck with a built-in stage) at the BATEKOO’s 2024 Carnaval that took place in the streets of São Paulo.
